Ether’s increase relative to BTC has slowed recently. ETH had been surging compared to BTC since July 13 but has declined 9% since a near-term peak over $2,000 on Aug. 13.

Polkadot unites and secures a growing ecosystem of specialized blockchains called parachains. It’s a protocol that connects blockchains in that it enables cross-blockchain transfers of any type of data or asset, not just tokens. So it has true interoperability and it's also designed to be fast and scalable. It also uses PoS.

This means Polkadot is a true multi-chain application environment where things like cross-chain registries and cross-chain computation are possible.
Polkadot can transfer this data across public, open, permissionless blockchains as well as private, permissioned blockchains.
